Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park

Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park is a national park located in Yalong Bay, about 25 km from downtown Sanya. It is the only coastal tropical forest preserved along Hainan's 1,650-kilometre coastline.

The park is famous for being a filming location for the movie If You Are the One 2, as well as for its panoramic views of Yalong Bay from above.

Main attractions of the park:

·       Guojianglong Suspension Bridge (过江龙索桥) — the longest and highest suspension bridge in Hainan Province: 168 metres long and about 40 metres above the ground. It was here that the key scenes of the movie were filmed. The bridge sways slightly, which adds to the thrill.

·       Glass viewing platform (Glass Bridge) — located at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level, with a length of 400 metres. From the glass deck, a breathtaking view opens up over the entire Yalong Bay with its famous "platinum" coastline.

·       Orchid Valley — a shady trail through tropical greenery with orchids, lianas and ancient trees. Here you can see phenomena typical of a tropical rainforest: trees "strangled" by lianas, aerial roots and cauliflory (flowers growing on tree trunks).

·       "Bird's Nests" (Paradise Bird's Nest Resort) — the famous wooden villas on the mountain slopes, which became a recognisable symbol of the park after the movie.

Tip: Wear comfortable shoes — there are many steps and climbs throughout the park. Bring mosquito repellent, especially if you walk along the forest trails. It is better to come in the morning: fewer people and not as hot. The electric cart takes you up to the top stop, from where you can walk down, gradually exploring the attractions.
