Minsk-Sanya Inaugural Flight

On October 8 at 19:55 Beijing time, Belavia flight B2753 landed at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, marking the official launch of the regular Minsk-Sanya international air route.

This is a significant milestone, not only for expanding the flight network to Belarus but also for enhancing future cooperation between Hainan Province—a pilot free trade port—and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The route is operated by Belavia, with flight numbers B2753/4, operating regular round-trip flights every Wednesday. The inbound flight departs from Minsk at 09:40 and arrives in Sanya at 20:00; the outbound flight departs from Sanya at 22:00 and arrives in Minsk the next day at 09:20 (all times are Beijing time).

To date, Sanya has launched 36 international air routes connecting 27 overseas cities, with the route network continuously expanding.

On October 9, a promotional event for the Minsk-Sanya international route was held at the Autograph Collection Hotel.

Zhang Hao, Deputy Director of the Sanya Tourism Board, stated, "The direct flight offers tourists from Belarus and neighboring countries more convenient travel to Sanya and creates opportunities to develop new international tourism markets."

According to Zhang Hao, the new route is expected to drive additional marketing initiatives and the development of tourism products tailored to the local market. It will also serve as a bridge, expanding Sanya’s international cooperation opportunities and accelerating its development as an international tourist destination.

"The direct flight, visa-free policies, and a Russian-friendly environment make vacationing in Hainan both convenient and attractive for Belarusian tourists," said Olga Myshkovskaya, a Belarusian tour operator, during the event. She noted that Belarusian tourists choose Hainan not only for beach holidays but also for its sightseeing tours, shopping, and wellness and medical tourism.

"By conservative estimates, the Sanya-Minsk route is expected to bring Sanya an additional 25,000 international tourists annually," said He Jin, Chairman of Hainan Weidu International Travel Service Co., Ltd.

Sanya will continue to work on launching new international flights, optimizing entry procedures for foreign visitors, and improving the convenience of foreign card payments, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for international tourists in Sanya.
