Sanya Phoenix Valley
Phoenix Park is located on Fenghuangling Mountain in the Jiyang District of Sanya City. This AAAA-category tourist attraction is also the highest point in the city. The main peak of Fenghuangling reaches 393 meters, with no comparable summit within a 20 km radius. This very fact makes the view from the park truly breathtaking! For comparison, the popular "Deer Turns Its Head" park stands at just 170 meters tall.
It is the only place in the city offering a 360° panoramic view of all four main bays—Sanya Bay, Dadonghai, Xiaodonghai, Yalong Bay—and the entire city.

The park is accessible via a modern Austrian-made cable car stretching 1,624 meters. Known as "Asia's Premier Sea and City View Cable Car," it offers a slowly unfolding panorama of Sanya as your cabin ascends toward the mountains. The ride takes about ten minutes in total.

The park itself is a walking area spanning two mountain peaks connected by a bridge. The walk provides not only aesthetic pleasure from the stunning mountain views but also tangible health benefits! The park is situated within a national tropical rainforest reserve, where the oxygen negative ion concentration is 2.5 times higher than usual. Here, you can fully enjoy the soothing power of nature.
Additionally, the entire park's layout was designed according to Feng Shui principles. Based on Feng Shui theory, specific directions influencing health, career, and financial prosperity are identified here. It is believed that walking through the park can positively impact your luck!

The two peaks are connected by a winding bridge built to follow the mountain's contours, forming nine turns—a number symbolizing luck and reverence in Chinese culture. At one peak, the bridge leads to the "Moon Elder's Spring," a well-known figure in Chinese folklore responsible for marriage bonds. Legend says he ties an invisible red thread around the ankles of destined couples, ensuring they will meet and marry.

Another highlight is the "Dragon and Phoenix Gate." In Chinese mythology, the dragon and phoenix together represent perfect harmony and a strong marital union. This symbolism dates back to the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE), when the phrase "龙凤呈祥" (lóng fèng chéng xiáng)—"the dragon and phoenix bring prosperity"—became a popular idiom.
In Taoist practice, the dragon and phoenix embody Yin and Yang energies. Taoist masters viewed their interaction as a model of ideal cosmic balance. In the park, you will see a sculpture of a soaring dragon and a hovering phoenix holding a pearl in their beaks, forming an archway known as the "Gate of Happiness and Prosperity." Couples passing through are said to find harmony, while singles may gain success, luck, and brilliant prospects.

At the other peak, a red cedar wood path leads to an observation deck with a glass wedding pavilion—an ideal spot for a photoshoot or a wedding ceremony, where vows can be exchanged against the stunning backdrop of the sea and mountains.

The best time to visit the park is around sunset. This allows you to enjoy a stroll, watch the sun dip below the ocean, and explore the park adorned with beautiful evening lights.
As dusk falls, guests are treated to a mesmerizing panorama of the illuminated night city.
